Tip to prevent a fault from intersecting the boundary
I have four seams (Veins) modeled from 2D cross-sections, as shown in the attached image. In my geological model, I’ve introduced two faults: F.A and F.KT4. However, these faults do not intersect all coal seams. Specifically: Fault F.A only cuts the upper seam (Vein 1), Fault F.KT4 cuts the three lower seams (Veins 2, 3,…

Updated System Requirements
As the recommended system requirements haven't been updated since 2019, (when the recommended Graphics card and processor were released. Do anyone have any recommendations on the hardware for an optimal system? We are running some data heavy models which are taking days to process. I would like to build a dedicated system…

MapInfo batch export XML format - cannot parse
Hi there, I am not a MapInfo user, but I would like to create an XML for batch import of spatial data. I have an XML that was not created by MapInfo, but rather by a standalone python code. When I try to import the XML (via , "GIS Data, Map and Photos" —> "Batch Import" —> From MapInfo" I get an error that Leapfrog Geo was…

Erosional (Soil) surface is extending and connecting boreholes which doesn’t have soil lithology.
So I have vertical boreholes (iron ore deposit) and top layer is soil. When creating erosional layer using the ‘erosion’ surface in Leapfrog Geo as can be seen in the Fig. 1, resulting erosional layer is extending and connecting the boreholes which don’t even have soil as layer (yellow bold dots are soil layer and…

Leapfrog Geo: Is there a way to export specific/filtered drillhole intercepts to DXF?
I know that there is a workaround to export traces via Exporting and Importing OMFs but that does not work when I just want to export certain intercepts (e.g drillholes with assay grades greater than a cutoff ) Thanks in advance!

What is the best way to model a fold in Leapfrog Geo
Am trying to model a Fold which includes multiple lithologies (Sediments and volcanics) and haven´t get yet with the best tool in Leapfrog Geo to do it, could it be planar structural data? as a surface? with point or polylines?

Balanced Shapes using the Intrusion Tool
What methods do folks find best to generate "balanced shapes" when using the Intrusion tool. An example being a narrow Intrusion shape (with an 65deg inclined structural trend applied) that has a limiting exterior point on one side from an adjacent drillhole, but unconstrained on the other side. Left to run freely the…

How can i edit blank spaces in a volume of a geological model?
I created a geological model from meshes that i created from a set of xyz points. Because they did not have the same distance between them, there are some blank spaces in the volume that was created like the one on the picture and in the limits of each unit: How can i fixed that?

Creating 3D models from a map - no other data
Hi, I am new to Leapfrog Geo. I am wanting to create a 3D model from a cross section and a plane view map. I have georeferenced these images but not sure how to define lithologies from the maps (I have created a legend) and create 3D volumes purely from the maps. Any suggestions on my possible workflow? Thanks :)

Constraining geological model with uncertain geophysical data
I have geophysical data which i want to use to constrain model developed with drill hole data. In some areas, the quality of the geophysical data is poor at shallow depth. Is there a way to condition Leapfrog to "down-weight" data for this region while still using the entire data?
