Convert a calculated variable to a alpha / category

Options

I am trying to apply a bench code to a block model using this function
Bench = round(([zc]-[Block Model Z origin])/ [Bench Height],0)* [Bench Height] +[Block Model Z origin]

Broadly the calc is doing what is needs (although not having the INT() option is a challenge)

However, I need to report from the model on the Bench coding and since the model is quite large I don't want to have to code in a category field with 100 If statements to make the bench category file

So, crux of the matter - does anyone know how the blazes to convert a numeric to a alpha in the calculations option of a model in leapfrog Geo 2025.1.0

    Hi Justin,

    Due to the nature of converting 'continuous data' to finite 'category data' a direct grouping has always needed that manual step. The standard method works for most scenarios but RL flagging has always been the biggest pain. As I also am not a fan of unnecessary manual entry, I've created a workflow to use numeric distance buffers and grouped meshes. I'll attach the doc here and hope it helps you get the output you need!

    Cheers, Lee
