MapInfo batch export XML format - cannot parse

Hi there, I am not a MapInfo user, but I would like to create an XML for batch import of spatial data. I have an XML that was not created by MapInfo, but rather by a standalone python code. When I try to import the XML (via , "GIS Data, Map and Photos" —> "Batch Import" —> From MapInfo" I get an error that Leapfrog Geo was not able to parse the XML.

More specifically:"Details:
Element '{http://www.mapinfo.com/mxp}MapInfo': No matching global declaration available for the validation root. (<string>, line 0) "

Is it possible to provide an example MapInfo batch XML, or to provide documentation for the structure of the XML that Leapfrog expects?

Leapfrog Geo relies on XML files that adhere to a specific schema compatible with MapInfo formats. Unfortunately, standalone-generated XML files might not align with these requirements. I would recommend contacting contacting MapInfo for them to share their schema information.

  • I'm sorry, but this is not the answer I was expecting. Leapfrog was obviously programmed to accommodate a specific format / heading in XMLs, and Leapfrog apparently can detect when it's not the correct format, so it's strange to me that Seequent does not know what its own program requires as input.

Is it possible to just get an example of an XML that Leapfrog can ingest successfully? We are paying for Leapfrog licensing, not MapInfo licensing (and either way, MapInfo documentation is quite lacking).

    Thank you.
