Percent models in Leapfrog

Hey everybody. Does anyone use percent models anymore? From my experience they are not very popular but certain geologists/companies still use them today. While Leapfrog Edge cannot estimate percent models in the traditional sense since domains are volume-based (i.e. block centroids must fall inside the volume), I came up with a workflow for making percent models using a combination of tools in Leapfrog Geo and Edge.

Are percent models something folks are interested in pursuing in Leapfrog or still doing on a regular basis?

Hey Erik, I was recently trying to make my own workflow for this on a sub-blocked model and ran into some issues that stopped me short. I would be very interest to see your solution.

Hey Jason. I wouldn't necessarily use a sub-blocked model since sub-blocking does a good job of approximating your volumes (thus you don't need to think about proportions/percents), but there might be some use cases if you are interested in the proportions of non-triggering surfaces/volumes.

I've attached my workflow below. Hopefully it does the trick for you.

Thanks for sharing, I realized I misspoke in my earlier message it was a regular block size model. I was exploring an alternative approach to a sub-block model in a situation where a regular block model was required.

Thanks again and looking forward to trying your workflow out!
