New course published: Radiometric Processing in Oasis montaj!

I'm happy to announce that we have just published a new course that covers how to work with the Radiometrics Processing System in Oasis montaj!

This course is designed for users who want to learn how to process radiometric data in Oasis montaj. Using a small radiometric dataset from the Mojave Desert, USA, the course will teach you how to work through the processing sequence required to generate radioelement concentration, radioelement ratio and ternary images from airborne spectrometer data.

After you complete this course, you will be able to:

• Understand how and why geophysicists acquire, process and interpret radiometric data
• Launch Oasis montaj, create a project, add menus and add data to the project
• Apply NASVD smoothing to 256, 512, or 1024-channel airborne spectrometer data
• Generate radioelement counts from spectrometer data
• Correct altimeter data to Standard (atmospheric) Temperature and Pressure
• Remove aircraft, cosmic and Radon contributions from radioelement counts
• Apply Compton Stripping and height attenuation corrections to radioelement counts
• Generate radioelement concentrations and ratios
• Generate grids of radioelement concentrations and radioelement ratios
• Create a radiometric ternary image
