Here’s what’s new:
A new construction feature, bringing real-world engineering into your geological models
You can now place and manipulate structures like tunnels, piles, and foundations directly within your 3D models. Adjust their size, depth, and orientation to see exactly how they interact with different rock layers and faults. With the new X-Ray view, you can make the geology semi-transparent to easily visualize these interactions. This new tool helps connect geology concepts to practical engineering applications, making it easier than ever for students and educators to explore how geology impacts everyday infrastructure.
A library of pre-built models when you log in with Google
Log in with Google and get access to a library of pre-built models, ready for you to explore or use in your lessons. Access over 20 models exploring folds, faults, unconformities, volcanics and real-world geological environments.
A more organised and interactive Stereonet module
You can now group your measurements — like bedding, folds, or lineations — into named and symbol or color coded categories. Easily show or hide different data sets to focus on specific patterns or guide step-by-step classroom discussions without the clutter. These enhancements transform the stereonet from a simple plotting tool into a dynamic, interactive workspace, making it easier for students and educators to interpret and understand complex geological data.
A redesigned Apparent Dip module for more intuitive learning
You can now see apparent dip directly on a geological block, with a dynamic measurement indicator that pulses to instantly identify true dip. When apparent dip aligns with true dip, a tooltip appears above the indicator. Aligned with standard field practices and featuring customisable views for educators, this update provides an intuitive, hands-on way to understand how geologists observe dip in the field.
