Linking geologic models

If I have a Leapfrog project and have multiple geologic models from other projects linked to it. These 'linked' geologic models now have a little blue shield next to them as well as the 'C' which I would imagine is telling me they are linked to Central. What does the blue shield mean? It is not listed on the Sequent icons key.

Also, it appears that I cannot edit or manipulate the meshes in these models that are linked. Is there a way that I can make a copy of this geologic model and actually manipulate the meshes? This model has multiple meshes within in it and exporting each of them individually as a mesh is not an option, as I need them all together so that I can, subsequently, run a numeric model against the meshes.

    Hi Atticus,

The 'C' does indeed mean that the GM was imported from another Leapfrog project on Central. The blue shield symbol means that the model is 'static' i.e., it cannot be edited or changed in this project. Any changes you wish to make must be made in the original project.

R-click on the GM in the project tree and select Properties to find info on the the source project. R-click and select Update from Central to load the latest version or any other version from the history of the original project on Central.

You should talk to your colleagues to get some background info on the GMs. If no one on your team is available you should initiate a support request for assistance from the Leapfrog tech support team. They will be able to help with navigating the project linkages.

Let me know if this helps or if you have any questions.

    Peter
