How can TOUGHREACT simulation results be imported into Leapfrog Flow Modeller?

Hello everyone,

I am currently trying to import the results of a TOUGHREACT (V4.13) simulation into Leapfrog Energy - Flow Model, but I am having some issues.

  • When I try to import the file flow.out as a TOUGH listing file, Leapfrog returns this error:

Error reading the TOUGH2 Listing file
C:\Users\Asus\Primavera2\02_TEST_Hidrostatico\flow.out.
'aranz_t2listing' object has no attribute 'setup_pos_TOUGHREACT V4.13OMP'

This seems to indicate that Leapfrog does not recognise the TOUGHREACT version string contained in the listing file.

  • As a test, I manually changed the header from “TOUGHREACT V4.13OMP” to “TOUGH2”.
In this case, Leapfrog recognises the file as a TOUGH listing, but then produces the following error:

TOUGH Listing file
C:\Users\Asus\Primavera2\02_TEST_Hidrostatico\flow - copia.out.
The number of grid blocks in the Listing file does not match the grid geometry.

This suggests that, although the file is partially recognised, the grid definition is not considered compatible.

  • I also attempted to export the TOUGHREACT results (e.g. pressure, temperature, saturations and time ) into a CSV file. However, Leapfrog fails with the message:

Unable to determine time stamp data from simulation output file

This suggests that Leapfrog requires a specific time-step or timestamp structure that is not present in my exported CSV.

I wonder if: Is there a supported way to import TOUGHREACT results into Leapfrog Flow Modeller? Is there an example of a compatible TOUGH/TOUGHREACT listing or CSV format that Leapfrog can successfully read?

Any guidance, examples, or references would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much in advance for your help.
