Discarding database changes in Oasis montaj

One particularly useful tip I like to share with new users of Oasis montaj, is the ability to quickly discard any changes I've made to a database, without having to physically delete or revert each of the channels I want to remove.

When new data is written to a database in Oasis montaj, the changes are not actually committed to memory until you choose to save the changes. This allows any changes we have made to the database to be removed, using the "discard changes" button on the Database toolbar, highlighted below:

This option helps save a lot of time when processing something like the radiometric data shown above. In that workflow, there are multiple tasks that involve applying filters to multiple channels at once. There is often some trial and error when determining appropriate filter parameters, so what I like to do is apply the filter and assess the new channels that have been created. If I don't like the results, I can click on the "discard changes" button, and after confirming, the new channels are removed and the database is reverted to the state it was last saved in.

This approach works well, provided you save your database after each successful processing step; you can use the button to the left of the "discard changes" button to do that!
