How to show shapefile labels on a map in Geosoft Oasis montaj?

Hello everyone,
I’m currently working on a mineral exploration project using magnetic data in Oasis montaj. I’ve added a shapefile containing mineral index locations within my study area, but I’m not sure how to display the labels (i.e., the mineral index types) on the map.

Could anyone please guide me through the steps to enable and display these labels?

    Hi there, you can try importing the Shapefile into a new database. This will create a databse with the shapefile attributes in various columns/channels. This import will also create a map with the outlines of your locations. Then using the Map plotting tools to plot the labels. Map Tools > Posting (choose your label channel as the Post channel). You may need to edit the vector group to see the labels. To do this, click on the the SHP file in your Map Manager. This will draw a box around your shapefile on your map. With your mouse in the box, right mouse click and select Edit Vector Group. Right mouse Click again and choose Select All, then Right mouse click again and choose "Symbol Attributes". You can adjust the size and color of the symbols.
