To further support educators embedding Visible Geology into their teaching practices, the education team at the American Geoscience Institute have created some lesson plans using the pre-built models. Check them out here!

The University of Houston is using Visible Geology to teach deformation and structures in their Physical Geology labs: https://uhlibraries.pressbooks.pub/physicalgeologylab/chapter/chapter-9-deformation/ (Exercise 10.5)

  • Hello,

I assigned my students a project in which they had to reconstruct a block diagram based on a sequence of geological events. There are about 70 groups in total. However, today—on the project submission deadline—all the submitted projects have disappeared.

This is a serious issue, as the project accounts for 30% of their final grade. Has anyone experienced a similar problem? Is there any way to recover the submissions that no longer appear in my assignment folder?

Thank you in advance for your help.
