in Oasis montaj

i am a dissertation student.my topic is ground water prospecting from hard rock terrain(deccan trap gujarat) using AEM method.so i am using geosoft for data processing.so i want know about that the computational part behind RTP, DRTP, apparent susceptibility calculation filter.why we are using this filters and what is the function of them. because my background is Msc applied geology.
