The team has been working really hard and landing new user interface elements which are beginning to illustrate some of the amazing features and functionality Visible Geology will offer.

Let's take a quick look at the image below, bearing in mind it's a work in progress and subject to change, and quickly chat about what you can do signed in versus not signed in.

What can I do when I'm signed in?

• use all three applications (Geology Explorer, Stereonet, Apparent Dip)
• save my awesome 3D models & custom topographies
• share my work with other VG users (view only, share a copy for collabs)
• embed my work e.g. into a website showing a digitised course material
• open work I created and saved
• open a model or stereonet someone has shared with me
• create a group (classroom) & assignments
• join a group (classroom) & assignments
• submit an assignment

What can I do when I'm NOT signed in?

• use all three applications (Geology Explorer, Stereonet, Apparent Dip)
• start over by hitting the "New" button (unlimited)
• because your work is unsaved refreshing your browser or loosing internet connection will mean you will loose your work 😭
• view a model that has been embedded e.g. into a website showing a digitised course material
• view as "read-only" a model that has been shared with you
