Design of drains

When performing a steady or transient state analysis, what is the type of boundary condition that should be assigned to a chimney drain and why?

If the chimney drain is 100% effective at removing water, the potential seepage face boundary condition can be applied to the exterior of the drain. This boundary condition determines which nodes are associated with flow leaving the model domain and which nodes have no flow (when the pore water pressure is below zero).
