Export a Geologic Map as DXF

Is there any easy method to export a surface geology map (2D) as a DXF or SHP from a geologic model (volumes)? For example, the image below is a plan view perspective of a geologic model and I would like to export these shapes as polygons. An alternative is to clip the contact meshes, export and convert.... but this is time consuming.
