ASCII data import to GDB not creating templates or importing as in past?

Been having difficulty for some time now importing simple CSV ASCII data to a database. One goes through all the motions of defining the channels, but nothing appears in the database. If I exit Geosoft and re-open than I am able to import the ASCII data normally. Now if I repeat exactly what I just did using a different, simple, 4 column ASCII file the data do not import in the database is empty. Bug?

    Mate, I have had this issue for a couple of years now and it has been driving me insane. I have been 'creating' my import templates within a temp file in the 'Geosoft Desktop Applications 9' subdirectory and that seems to work, although not ideal.
