Error when georeferencing a section on a line

I am attempting to georeference some geophysics data along a line which I have been given the start and end coordinate points for.
After georeferencing and hitting 'save', I get the following error: 'linear space locations: Cannot position image when the Marker Location (X, Y) values have duplicates or lie on a line.'
The section is vertical with two points (green circle and yellow square) and should lie on a line.
I'm some seeking guidance on what i'm doing wrong.

If you're trying to import a 2D geophysics section Use the "new cross section from image" function under the Cross Sections menu. You will need to know the elevation of the top and bottom of the section

Morning Olivia, the error is a little unintuitive, as yes, two points will lie on a line by definition. However, what the error is really getting at it that your points need to have quite different XYZ locations. If for example you register the ends of the section, but at the same elevation, Leapfrog cannot scale the vertical component of the section, and the georeferencing will fail. Generally speaking, diagonally opposite corners works best when referencing a 2D vertical section. Hope this helps!
