Updated System Requirements
As the recommended system requirements haven't been updated since 2019, (when the recommended Graphics card and processor were released. Do anyone have any recommendations on the hardware for an optimal system? We are running some data heavy models which are taking days to process. I would like to build a dedicated system which isn't made of parts produced in 2019, and is idea for leapfrog.
From what I have gathered thus far, CPU is more important than GPU and the more RAM the better. What I am currently planning is an Intel Core i9-14900 with 64GB of Ram and an NVidia RTX 4070. If anyone has some insight into this it would be appreciated.

General idea is a quick CPU, single core speed over multiple cores has more bang for your buck.
RAM, enough to handle the data load (for bigger models, go for 64GB).
Dedicated graphics, this is mainly for rendering so a dedicated calculation card is not really needed. Mid range Nvidia RTXs cards should work fine.
SSD (or m2) drives, as much as you can spare really. Leapfrog models can be pretty big and we all keep a few to many of them hanging around.
You will also get better performance with a desktop setup than with a laptop. But the desktops are harder to travel with (remember the 90-s LANs?)..
I currently run a HP ZBook Fury 16 G9 setup (Intel i7-12850 @ 2.1GHz, 32GB or RAM 2TB or SSD storage, NVidia RTX A3000 12GB).
This one works fine for most projects, and I need it to travel "light" (it's still a bit heavy to be comfortable as a travel option) and it's not really a battery efficient machine (running with full power to the graphics is preferred when doing Leapfrog things).
What other setups do we have around here?
The only way is forward!0
