How can i design mineralization domain constrained in a very specific hallway?

Hi all,

I wanted to model mineralization pockets within alteration zones, but I'm having some trouble. Could someone please help me?

Cheers

Some more detail might be helpful, such as what sort of shapes you want to end up with. In a general sense, if you have a model volume of a particular unit/alteration zone then that can be used as a lateral extent to constrain a numeric model or a geological model, such that the mineralisation domains won't extend outside the boundary of alteration.

  • Hi,

I would like to end up with a closed volume model or a closed meshe that represente the mineralization zone. And yes, i have an existing geological model that be use to constrain the domain i want to build.

I would be open to show you if we link up on teams

    Hi Cheikh,

How do you want to model the mineralisation domain? is it a relatively tabular geometry that might suit a Vein model, or is it a more complex shape that might need a numeric or intrusion style model? I find it helpful to start with a sketch section of what you think the mineralisation looks like in relation to the other geological elements an go from there.
