Gravity data processing

How can I process profile gravity data having gravity station spacing 50 m and traverse spacing 100 m? What should be the grid cell size?

Hi @PankajKumarDas, the gridding rule of thumb is 1/4 to 1/5 your traverse line spacing. This doesn't always work based on data coverage and size of the area, but it's a number you could start with. You may need to increase the blanking distance as well to get full coverage. Once you grid your data with a cell size of 20 or 25m, measure the size of the gaps you have and adjust the blanking distance to cover the biggest gap you want to fill. I hope that helps!

  • Thank you very much..
  • How do I get relative gravity for CG6 data?
  • I read somewhere and relative gravity = (Reading-Base reading) * Meter conversion factor. Is there any conversion factor for CG6. If not how do I get the relative gravity?
