Gerry Connard, Geosoft Senior Scientist - Potential-field Modelling will demonstrate how to successfully integrate gravity and magnetic data with other geophysical data and detailed geologic measurements. Potential field methods are useful in geothermal resource exploration because they often highlight structures (fault or fracture zones, or geologic contacts) that may play a role in guiding geothermal fluids in the subsurface. This case study will illustrate the steps used to take advantage of the diverse data sets to integrate them into a detailed GM-SYS 3D model. The presentation shows how to take advantage of possibly lesser-known Oasis montaj features such as Tilt Derivate depth-to-source, building GM-SYS 3D models from GM-SYS profile models, and using constraints for GM-SYS 3D models.
